So I just updated to Mac OS X 10.6.6, which includes Apple’s new amazing App Store. But as soon as I launched the store, I couldn’t help but notice the absolutely horrible placement of the window controls. After seeing this, and the changes Apple made to the window controls in iTunes 10, I think it’s safe to say that Apple is pulling the plug on standardized window control placement. So much for user interface standards. I expect this sort of thinking from Adobe, not Apple! And don’t even get me started on the completely horrid App Store icon.
